Many of the most progressive movements come from these “red states”, and looking down on them is a bad idea generally but especially since they have created the structures and frameworks for fighting back that “blue states” will need to employ when those in power nationally come for them next.
Everyone can’t afford to move. And no one should HAVE to move.
People shouldn’t just feel safe where they live; they should feel that they are vibrantly welcome and included in how that place defines itself.
Ohio isn’t a red state; it’s now a gerrymandered state like too many others.
