The Democrats erred by not forcing Republicans to nuke the filibuster. But there was nothing Democrats could have done to get the ACA subsidies extended, because Republicans control all three branches and strongly believe that only rich people should have access to decent healthcare
You can criticize Senate Democrats for capitulating but Donald Trump and Republicans are the ones destroying the ACA.

We are not in an episode of the West Wing, this fight was not gonna end with Trump's impeachment, this fight was not the fight to total victory, the only path to total victory is through elections where people have to vote, no one can save you before that through one trick.
It looked to me like Trump was about to rip up his Congressional relationship to kill the filibuster, and, like maybe even find a way to get himself big, wet impeached.
And yet the dickless wonders didn't want to let that play out.

I'll just say it, it's antisemitic to characterize Chuck Schumer as the scheming, underhanded, puppet master behind a deal he voted against and condemned publicly. Senators are a law unto themselves and being in the minority takes away most of the wrangling tools a leader has.

any ways one vote, which doesn't in fact pass the bill even out of the Senate, is not the single biggest political event of all time, that will define an age.
we're in for many more fights, which as long as there's a Republican majority in Congress, will not end 100% in our favor, deal.
