My grandparents remembered the Zeppelin raids & gave their 2nd child (my uncle) the middle name of Cuffley where the first one was shot down. He was known as “Chuff” all his life (a nickname derived from Cuffley). A school in nearby Bethnal Green was hit & kids from there are taught about it today

We have not generated electricity from oil fired power stations in a long time. Drax should be prosecuted not just downgraded, they have been defrauding us and misleading their own shareholders

And investing in a dying technology will have other costs, eg as the skills leave the workforce with retirement and younger workers won’t want to be shunted into a useless siding, parts become expensive and have to be specially made etc.
