Yeah, people overreact, I just think it's fair to find that stylistic and technological alterations really do change your experience, even if the movie would be made that way when the restorations were made. Video game remasters don't really replace the original in the same way either.

No one is disputing this grandma they just disagree about the "make em better" bits. Obviously preserving or restoring the film is a good thing.

This is always an interesting idea to me. I get it but I also feel that many games and stories that are cozy do have a "big bad" and especially a generally dangerous world to give direction to the thing.
