Morton’s HQ is still in Chicago, although they shut down their iconic packaging warehouse in 2015. It was designated a historic landmark, which includes its absolute icon of a roof.

The roof is a familiar sight when you enter the city on the Kennedy Expressway.

Here’s some Chicago history you may not know: in 1848, 30 years before the Great Chicago Fire, a little sales company was founded.
It grew and grew, and they decided to focus on its main product. In 1889 the company got a new name:

Morton Salt.
