Tiny dingus bird update:
- it would appear they are juncos
- ground nesting is normal, doubling down next to noisily excited small children is less so
- the tiniest cheeps are coming from the nest(!!)
- at least 1 scrub jay may have taken notice(!) before nearly hitting me in the face as it flew off

On the one hand: Bird, the middle of the yard we meant to tear up is a terrible spot for eggs.
On the other: I am now inordinately excited at the prospect of tiny baby yard birds OH NO I just remembered there are neighborhood cats (in addition to small children), this might be a total disaster

Made a thing tonight. The lines aren't quite what I'd like them to be but I used my hands for delicate work for an hour and that felt good.
