To be fair, Milk Maniac was promoting the Unlicensed Therapy Penguin for student president. Shockingly enough, I checked out his website and he has a decent platform.

Oh wow! I'm also a librarian at a public state college so we have had to "minimize attention" to certain topics, but I've been carrying on with business as usual.

Woah! I teach English and information literacy and haven’t seen this. I’m in FL where there has been mass book banning in K-12 schools so maybe my students have seen the negative impact of it. Banned books week in my library is very popular.

Great point! I’m an academic librarian but want to own my exam books as part of my personal collection. I still might do a purchase request as suggestions because there are some seminal texts missing in the library.
