I have Raynaud’s & I love my fingerless compression gloves from @bibiblossoms.bsky.social ! They help with hand pain more than I expected, and they are very easy to wear.

A very low river with yellow and green and foliage on either side. The rocky riverbed is mostly visible but there is a small amount of water flowing. Upstream, the white of a small waterfall is visible. At the left embankment you can see the edge of a bridge where the road crosses the river.

It’s not easy getting a picture of the triple spoon! I’d been chilling with Mookie, then Socks got jealous and so wedged his 17+ pounds between us. 🥰😻😻

In honor of RFK Jr I got my flu shot & shingles vaccine yesterday! 💉 Vaccines are free (for me, ymmv) at Walgreens, and they give you a 20% off coupon good for your next store purchase. I don’t shop there otherwise, but I saved $$$ on a new cane for my mom and on my (overpriced) mineral sunscreen.

Six tons of wood pellets delivered before the nights start getting really cold. Now that my mom’s in the house, we’ll turn on the boiler earlier than usual. (Hooray!!) We did a ton of insulation & winterizing work this spring, so this drafty old house should feel much cozier this winter. 🔥

It’s been 1 year since we adopted these 2 as a bonded pair from a shelter. Mookie (9) is a compact tabby and he sleeps on my pillow. 😽 Socks (8) is the hunkiest tuxedo I’ve ever seen. 😻 #Caturday

I love a good summer concert and the @westvillemusicbowl.bsky.social is a superb venue. Wish we had something similar. Beck & the symphony brought energy despite the oppressive heat. And I enjoyed the whistling Molly Lewis very much. 😙😙

RIP my beautiful bleeding heart bush. I planted it several years ago from root stock and the cheery flowers always reminded me of my grandparents’ house.

We had some contracting work done outside on Tuesday and I didn’t realize it was in their way. “We only had to pull out one plant.” 😭

We chose this poem for our ceremony and it always reminds me of that day.

A year ago, our beloved cat Jack passed away at age 17. He was the sweetest, most loving guy, and I really miss his gentle energy.
Six months ago, we adopted a bonded pair, Mookie & Socks, and they settled in perfectly. 😻😻

Here’s the fan I bought: a.co/d/4LYiDI3 It’s frameless so I thought it’d be a better fit, but the back is bulky & 1 edge doesn’t have a lip. I made it work! Maybe in this pic you can see it’s not a square. 2 sides had a gap which I patched on the inside with strips of cardboard & then lots of tape.
A white mini CR box on the floor. The corners where the dial & the cord are (right 2 corners in the picture) are >90° angles because the back of the fan is bigger on that edge. There’s also a tabby cat in the picture.
