now I am very much in favour of the state providing housing but can't help but think giving each child their own home is the best use of necessarily limited land and resources? most of them will already have somewhere to live? happy new year folks

this year: we started having our ankles bitten by silas, long tail of the post-academia illiteracy ended and read over fifty books, accidentally became important at work on purpose, ran 10k for the first time and hung out with friends more than any other time in my 30s. 2026: continue being a legend
