When I was a freshman at UF, I campaigned for some friends who were running for student government.

The day before the election, Katie Miller (then Katie Waldman) and one of her friends threw away copies of the student newspaper that reported an endorsement for our party.

But voters could not know what they did not see. So around 9 a.m. one Monday, according to eyewitnesses at the time, Ms. Miller and a colleague from their “Unite Party” swiped 268 copies of the student newspaper chronicling the endorsement and deposited them in the trash. When confronted, Ms. Miller denied any involvement, even amid follow-up coverage from the student paper and an eventual apology letter from her peer that named Ms. Miller and placed her at the scene.

When I was 18 I had just seen a talk by the artist Christo. He did a ton of wrapping stuff in fabric (ex: champ-magazine.com/wp-content/u...)

Sooo ofc I wrapped myself in tan cloth and twine!

I have 0 pictures because I knew how ridiculous I looked, but I was so happy to go as something I loved!!!

I think the image got downscaled when I uploaded to Bluesky! But when I compare the photo to a screenshot from a video, the difference is pretty stark:

Yes! I have a Pixel 6 as well, and it's been weird lately. I took this picture of a heron last week, but when I zoomed in I noticed it looks stylized and almost like it came from an AI art generator!
