Got a Scratch and Dent katana from Ronin Katana.
There was a ugly scuff on the blade (upper first image) but I managed to polish it out after 3 hours! Not perfect, but at least you can make out the detail now.

There was a pretty nasty wreck close to where I live and where I walk by often. I found this cross necklace on the ground so to keep it from getting lost or picked up by someone else I tied it to a nearby fence post. Hopefully when the guy recovers he can find it again.
I hope this means something.

Marked the holes.
Here's some higher quality pictures to show that the sword is made out of a single sheet of steel so lacks distal taper and wasn't paid attention to that well in the polishing judging by the sharp corners on the edges.
I doubt it's just some holes from forging because… It's just cut out of steel.

I rewrapped in my new sword.
You can see that there's one tiny little triangle that I missed and that's very sad. I think I would've been able to cover it if I didn't cut a tiny itty-bitty piece of the tail at the beginning of the twine.
It's barely noticeable. I might just get a brown sharpie.

I rewrapped in my new sword.

My first sharp sword is this bastard. Im pretty sure this was the cheapest sword that has ever been bought from KOA as it was blemished. Taking it from $24 to $18.
It has tried to kill me many times, something no other sword has done. So i have grounded 'em by layering gorilla tape on it for months.

I got the Cold Steel Thompson Saber for Christmas and I removed the Bluing using naval jelly. It now looks so much better to me. I love the raw steel look~
