I wrote a piece for a student. Didn’t think it was hard but notated, it looks ridiculously tricky. It was so hard to notate in a way that made it obvious how I wanted it sounded & felt in the body. I’ve been musicking for decades & problems don’t ever get easier to solve, I just get new problems.

Exhausted. I'm concerned that this is going to be the norm for my foreseeable future, what with running my business, parenting, perimenopause, the disintegration of democracy and the rapid destruction of our planet.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

It’s been 22 years since the Canberra fires but seeing these red sky images from LA is giving me anxiety. Really feeling for those living that reality right now.
