Calgary’s returning officer was clear: a recount would only involve polls that fell within a close-race threshold. But the province said that a recount should involve votes cast in the mayoral race city-wide

There was a confusing element here: how a recount of the mayor’s race might play out under new legislation that allows close-race candidates to request a recount. be done for all mayor votes.

My partner’s top complaint this election — he wants a ranked vote!

I just finished and yup took way longer to process electors than actually cast ballot. Sometimes the voting booths only had 1 person casting at a time 🫠

Unironically asked my partner who is stressed about this game and he says there is no such thing — and then said good joke — I had to give you the props tho

Rat reports increase in the summer. For this one they assume this rat hitched a ride from BC (someone vacationing) typically when this happens the rats are dead on arrival (assumed dehydration, hunger). Maybe the rain meant more water to survive?
