I love spending time in my garden, mostly sitting reading or crocheting. I usually talk about food, books, Sheffield, making things, life in general.
I like his new coat... He was covered in bright pink and red busy lizzies when we saw him...

If they could even stick to 30 on our main road I'd be happy... I've got no idea how fast on of the cars was going the other day... but it was well over 60... and felt like a bullet going past my ear...

I was trying to believe that it was just stress or menopause... and that doing something might make me feel better... but I think I just need to accept... and do as little as possible...

It's too early for me to watch Christmas films... I can't do it before December... I will probably have an afternoon kip... and finishing my audiobook (The Authenticity Project) is just about keeping me going... mine's definitely not jab related... they don't offer any to us anymore...

My Uncle Michael never liked to tell anyone his middle name... it was Sinclair... which never seemed controversial to me... but apparently it was the place in Orkney... where he was conceived... so he was always embarrassed by it... He's in his 80s now... so I guess it was pretty unusual...

Me too... I loved using lots of different colours... and trying to make stripey pompoms... it was always exciting seeing how they turned out... might have to try it again sometime...

It'll be interesting to see what you make of it...

I also loved Killing Commendatore... but wouldn't recommend that to anyone who hadn't read any Murakami... it's quite hardcore mind stretching stuff... and I didn't have a clue what was going on when I read it...

Norwegian Wood is his most famous book... but also one of my least favourite... because it's quite normal... I like the ones that really mess with your imagination... in strange worlds... where the boundaries of fact and fiction merge... Wild Sheep Chase & Hardboiled Wonderland are my favourites...

5 shelves completed on my #MosaicCrochet bookshelf throw... it's getting quite big now... and keeps me really warm and cosy as I work on it... it's still really fun to work on... and makes me feel like I'm a dot matrix printer in slow motion... 🧶

I bought my stamps last week in preparation... scarily expensive... even for 2nd class... that are unlikely to arrive quickly... I haven't managed to make myself update my list... and envelope labels yet... and I can't believe December actually starts next week...

I think I'm usually so relieved to have been strong enough to cut into it... that I don't notice... the seeds and stringy bits are pretty gross... but I usually cut it into quarters... so that I can remove them with a knife... and avoid contact... I've never been tempted to save them as a snack...
