Interesting to hear that Paul. But I do worry that the sentiment in Victoria is quite different & the anti-Labor backlash may be underestimated. I think the Allan govt is so disliked, this will have a significant effect on federal ALP’s vote. I hope I’m wrong.

Agree. I also think we need to reframe the whole climate science argument - it shouldn’t even be whether you “believe in” the science, the way some people believe in Santa Claus or crystal healing, we should be asking these pollies if they *accept* the facts of climate science, or deny reality.

I agree. I’m in Victoria & state Labor is so on the nose here now, & it feels like crime is a real issue for voters this time too. Your average punter doesn’t differentiate between state & federal issues, so I fear there’ll be a big backlash & a number of ALP seats will go LNP this time.
