1. The official state sport is jousting.
2. It has high school rodeo.
And one of those activities took place at the county park/equestrian center I'm about to take the reins of. Sadly, it wasn't jousting.

Update: I gave up on Brand's "Death in High Heels." I repeatedly put it down then picked it up to give it another chance, but I put all that nonsense to rest by reading its Wikipedia entry and intentionally spoiling the plot. Since then, I've read four Miss Marples. They went down much smoother.

Thus begins my morning commute/heroic, commendable attempt to singlehandedly save the environment. (Ignore the fact that once I get to work I drive around in a honking F350 truck.)

My job takes me to parks throughout the county, a few of which have Little Free Libraries (littlefreelibrary.org), and I've acquired two books and started a lieberry in my work truck. I've also added a bball, because a lot of the parks have courts and I don't want my mad hoops skillz to go to waste.
