Bad news: Recklessly parking in a 20 min zone on campus on a Saturday earned me a $50 fine today.
Good news: UAZ Parking and Transportartion apparently has partnered with a food bank and will forgive my fine in exchange for two boxes of cereal!

Partner off on a prison-to-prison driving tour of southern Arizona to try to help a friend of a friend who was picked up by Homeland Security, me unexpectedly home with 8yo. We made a cake. Partner found friend’s friend and got to see him. Weird day.

Random pine cone butt photo. 8yo collecting for fun. Heading off to get 34 more to add to collection to make an even hundred. “You’re going to get to 100!” I said. “Bet!” he said. And I just read about how Alphas use “bet” like this. And there it is. #linguistics

Oh oh and here’s a snapping turtle I saw three weeks ago. She was actually laying eggs! I saw one plop down into the hole she had dug!

My car decorations for Tucson’s drive for democracy. Very institutionalist. My personal lesson from Trump 2.0 is very banal: you really don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.

The title of this LinkedIn Learning course, offered to us academics in an academic institution doing academics, makes me want to gouge my eyes out. I am pretty sure we're paying $ for this.
