Everything is terrible right now, but my dog--who has bad anxiety and needs trazodone for nail trims--was happier than ever about three hours after his meds, and you all need to just look at that face. 😅

I've been saving @waub.bsky.social "Moon of the Turning Leaves" for my trip up to the Boundary Waters, and can now confirm that this novel is perfect accompanied by the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and the haunting cry of the loons.

Copper is experiencing his first time in the Boundary Waters. He's never seen a lake before, and this morning he was shocked to see a snapping turtle surface just a few feet from our dock. 😅

It is Maggie's 2nd birthday today! She is sweet, sassy, and smart, and thanks to her button board use over the past 7 months, we now know that her favorite topic of conversation is food (not that this is surprising). 😅 We are so grateful for her joyfulness every day.

My daughter graduates from elementary school tomorrow, and although we are all a bit sad to say goodbye to her school and teachers, I think Maggie is going to be the saddest when she no longer gets to go greet all the kids at school pickup!

My daughter picked out some lilies for me today, so I planted them in my garden next to my roses and irises. Things are a lot more colorful now!

Copper was quite excited to wear his brand new dinosaur raincoat today. Maggie was quite unexcited about the fact that Copper peed on the patio right next to her immediately before this picture was taken.
