I highly recommend it if you do not care about the newest software for the base system, I would recommend you do more research on it, due to me probably not explaining that well

However you can still get the newest software using packaging formats like Snaps Or Flatpaks which will give you the newest software, I have really loved Debian and is my main distro and have not had any system breaking issues from stuff like updates

The main selling point is on being stable, Debian is an LTS distro, The packages don't get updated, They will get Security patches though. What that means is your system doesn't hardly update so there's less room for failure from updates

Surprised you haven't! Debian is the base of many popular distros like Mint, Ubuntu, PopOS, Kail Linux, Etc

I cannot emphasize enough that almost every issue with Linux is because large tech companies don't want to acknowledge the existence of non-profit OS options.

Yeah! And I am also happy that many games are still getting physical releases, The fact that Cuphead, Undertale, And Hollow Knight got physical releases is amazing! And I am hoping silksong gets one as well

It also isn't that impossible for something like that to happen, Like people are starting to buy Vinyl again, Maybe someday physical media will become like vinyl, But even if it did, Thousands of movies, books, and games will still be in circulation, So its not like physical media will 100% die

I really hope so. I only buy physical media myself, I do think, With prices going up, Physical media will look more attractive then streaming, I have a feeling someday people are gonna be fed up and look to alternatives

Never used Debian on a server, But I have on the desktop (and am currently running it) I quite love it for my use :)

I myself recently switched back to Debian, I am running GNOME, GNOME has really becomr my favorite desktop environment :)
