I love winter harvests! So many fruits and vegetables in the winter are delicious. Pomegranates are super heart healthy and healths lower blood pressure. roasted veggies are always great for a cold rainy day or even in a lentil soup! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Yes! We can always incorporate nutrition into our lives and our patients lives as healthcare workers. A healthy and fueled body is the base of every patient. I totally agree that we also need to live life without restriction and eat what we enjoy. Balance is key! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I totally agree! A lot of people hate on pie but it's super delicious and especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pumpkin and apple pie are definitely top contenders for me. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

A hack I've seen and can say it definitely works is to use a smaller plate. It seems as though the plate is full while you have smaller portions so you don't overeat. It's a little mind trick that works great especially when we're excited about holiday food. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

i chose this article specifically because its by the CDC so it is reputable and it isn't trying to be a one size fits all type of article because each child is different and has different needs, but it highlights the importance of kids getting nutrients from many different foods.

Yes you are absolutely right. Small changes that we can stick with are the things that have lasting effects. Jumping into extreme diets make it super hard to stay consistent. Being able to enjoy what you're eating while also fueling your body is so important. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Embracing healthy eating habits can be difficult when you have a busy schedule. Having quick on the go options like this can help people continue to eat whole, healthy foods while also accommodating to most people's long and busy work days. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

This is super important! We all must eat to support our blood sugar and bodily health overall, not just for weight loss. A healthy balanced diet fuels our body. Having a fast metabolism isn't an excuse to fill our body with unhealthy processed food. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is so real! Hanging out with friends can be a little pressuring to eat unhealthy because a lot of our hangouts consists of grabbing food or a sweet treat. I need to start being able to say no to grabbing a middle of the day treat when my friends ask haha. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

yes that is so true. Protein shakes can be convenient, but its also important to remember that not all supplements are well regulated or necessary if you're already eating enough protein. It's important to choose a trusted brand and focus on whole foods first. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

That so true! That's why my family cycles through protein sources throughout the week to make sure were getting the nutrients we need from each. Beef for Iron and Zinc, Chicken for Vitamin B and fish like salmon and tuna for fatty acids and vitamin D. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
