Can't say I'm not disappointed by Tennessee's special election outcome - BUT an R+22 district just went R+9. That's crazy. I hope this is a sign of things to come for the midterms!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Tennessee today. I think it'll be unlikely that Aftyn Behn will win, but I know she'll absolutely over-perform as a Democrat in a heavy Republican district.

I'll still hold out some hope that she'll pull an upset, though! Keep fighting, no matter what!

House Majority PAC will spend $1 million to boost state Rep. Aftyn Behn (D) in the #TN07 special election on Dec 2

Although this race is not in the Toss-Up category, it's exciting to see the Democrats jump on a possible Congressional win.

Death threats are never ok, and I'm sorry she feels unsafe. The left hated her for years with nothing happening, but she's hated by the right for like a month or two, and she needs security and feels she must resign. The right will never respect women, not even their own.

So disappointed to see Establishment Dems STILL not understanding what voters want. The Democrats won big on Tuesday because they spoke to affordability - which is THE thing on everyone's minds. Giving in now with the government shutdown, especially when it means giving up the whole point (cont.)

I'm absolutely delighted by yesterday's results across the board. It seems like every Democrat outperformed the polls (Spanberger for example was projected to get around 10-12% margin, but ended with roughly 15%). Send these anti-worker, anti-dignity, anti-democracy fuckers packing!

I just want to take a moment to say I'm so glad I have the friends I have. I'm hosting a virtual Men4Choice conversation next week and so many of my guy friends said they'd join.

Some terrifying shit is happening regarding abortion. But my friends help me hold onto hope. Love you guys ❤️

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Not sure I have any Virginia followers but if I do - this election is even more important than people are saying.

The state legislature will vote on 3 State Constitutional amendments in January - one for abortion, one for day marriage, one for restoring voting rights after prison.

Happy International Lesbian Day! My lesbian friends aren't in BlueSky I think, but if any of y'all have lesbian friends, be sure to show em your appreciation every day, but especially today!
Lesbians make the world go ‘round.

Happy International Lesbian Day!

A terrible tragedy. This is why we need Pride and LGBTQ+ solidarity. Because if we let the forces of hate prevail, it'll be emboldened to carry out its worst impulses on us. Rest in peace, Matthew, you didn't deserve this.
October 7, 1998 - Matthew Shepard, a gay student at the University of Wyoming, was beaten, robbed and left tied to a wooden fence post outside Laramie, Wyoming; he died five days later.

We're dealing with the most unserious, performative, and dangerous people running the country. It's like the administration just learned "FAFO" and is trying to work it into every conversation. Instead of working towards fixing infrastructure, Sean would rather preen and posture to his audience.
Transportation secretary shares 'FAFO' video with Democrats amid government shutdown
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy shared a video on X Friday explaining the more that Democrats "f--- around," the more they will "find out" as the government shutdown drags into the weekend. (Secre...

This is why we need action in Virginia and across the country. They're elected to lead and represent, and right now they're doing neither. I hope these Virginians can get the relief they need!
Republicans need to do their jobs.

Spending the day helping train canvassers! Action is super important, and if I can help others be effective advocates, then that's even better. If you've never canvassed before, I'd give it a try! It's not as scary as I thought 😁

So proud to say I've begun my fellowship with @men4choice.bsky.social! It's important for men to speak up and fight for reproductive rights and access to reproductive healthcare. The cruelty we've seen out of states like Texas needs to stop. Proud to say I'm #prochoice!

While I was aware of the Indian Boarding Schools, it's a shame that I didn't learn more while I was in school - I didn't know there was a day dedicated to the survivors! Very brave of them to speak up about their abuse and trauma. Thank you to all those sharing your stories.

Hello world! This account will be the place I'll share my advocacy and political adventures. I just started my #men4choice fellowship so you'll hear a lot about pro-choice stuff, but I'm also passionate about LGBTQ rights, worker rights, protecting democracy, and much more!
