After exactly a year in my new apartment, time for new laundry and washing up liquid bottles.

Life sometimes has such symmetry.

“Your generosity will fund cardiology equipment that saves lives.”

So will my taxes.

Almost a redundant sign when in the cardiac centre waiting room (just a checkup, no coughing involved I hope).

Damned kids.

Maybe I don’t want to be loved.

Attending the 12th mention in the deliberate hit-run by driver Leanne De Baize of cyclist Rob Clarke over 2 1/2 years ago.

She’s now in jail for stabbing her aunt while on bail. Let’s see if Victoria Police add driving while unlicensed and attempted murder to the charges.

TWO HOURS UNTIL JUSTICE IS AGAIN ON TRIAL IN CANBERRA

Five days after he killed cyclist Mike Hall on 31 March 2017, P-plate driver Shegu Bobb told AFP offices Adam Potts and Phillip Cantwell in a formal interview that his headlights at the time could only shine two metres in front of him.

Two pics of my not wearing a helmet “infringement withdrawal notice” from Victoria Police.

Success!

Not sure if I prefer the pic pegged out with two blood oranges from the market, or the pic on the fridge with my Batman card and the French and ladybug fridge magnets.

You choose.

This is happening tomorrow.

Finally.

Let’s see if justice will finally be served after the AFP in Canberra failed the public in 2017 …

(I’m keeping an open mind - unfortunately justice in Australia can depend on which justice you happen to get - not unlike in America.)

“… he was a larger-than-life character …”
TRANSLATION: He was a bully.

“… a man widely regarded as a ruthless political operative …”
TRANSLATION: He was an asshole.

And yet no mention of Alpine Offset or of any hint of insurance fraud.

I know & respect Sofiane. We’ve interacted online but not met or raced together.

He has achieved feats I never will. But we’ve both raced for records (I hold more than three including the only Triple Crown) & we have both crossed borders illegally (true) so I can speak with some authority here.

Some ‘wheely good” toilet humour from the toilets in Sydney Central Station:

“Your mum was here.”

Wheely?

Taking the bike by NSW train (in a box as there is no other way yet ‘til new carriages arrive in a few years!) from Casino to Sydney.

A drunk grandmother sat behind me yelling & swearing. LOL.

Then the dancing and singing started. I’m too old for this. So was she. (Audio suppressed by court order)

Dinner and breakfast in Casino, NSW.

1. Bags packed and stacked in the local Commerial Pub.

2. Pre-dinner frothy.

3. The pub caters for parties and wakes!

4. At the bakery for breakfast: “Sorry, no service given whilst on a mobile phone.”

I love it!!!

My ride from Burleigh Heads to Casino went through Nimbin.

I was just ‘hemping around’.
November 7, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Yesterday’s super moon (better in real life), followed by a ‘koala crossing’ ( LOL), and lunch in Nimbin (known for recreational drugs and alternative lifestyles for decades).

Even spotted a lawn bowls club ( location, location, location).

On 31 March 2017, 19-year-old Shegu Bobb fatally struck cyclist Mike Hall. No charges followed.

Three years later he solicited and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl. AFP Police in Canberra were informed. He was released on bail.

Broken bike wheel. So just a sunrise and a hitchhike.

Eight kms total for the day.

Dubbo to Narrabri

Great sunrise leaving Dubbo for Coonabarabran.

Then a decent. “F’ing great” I said to myself.

Then Myall Creek Station. I knew it rang a bell. I paid my respects.

Great 280 km day.

Young to Dubbo. Kangaroos, a wallaby and a few energy drinks later.

Including Henry Lawson’s birthplace (Grenfell), Parkes telescope (The Dish) and Dubbo zoo (no need to go to Africa).
November 2, 2025 at 2:45 AM
Cootamundra to Young (nice cherries). Start of my NSW bike ride.

Not a lot of things you’re allowed to do in this bed.

Update from the 11th adjournment of Rob Clarke’s hit-run by Leanne De Baize in April 2023.

It looks like she will suffer zero consequences (already in jail) for using a car to try to kill a cyclist.

I’m not impressed by the magistrate making ‘hypothetical’ statements with no evidence.
