I’m so happy people are stepping up to help this library, but so heavyhearted that people spend their precious time on earth committing acts that harm others. I just don’t understand
The Shelby County (KY) Public Library has received donations for book replacement, after the Reformation Church of Shelbyville urged members to remove titles by checking them out and never returning them. The books portray gay characters or explore LGBTQ+ themes (The Kentucky Lantern)

Just don’t be a jerk. My god, the bar is so low. People throw parades for boys and men who do the absolute minimum of goodness. “Omg look at the dad taking his kids to the park!” “He does the dishes?? Marry him.” “He shut down someone’s sexist joke?! I’M OVULATING”
It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."
