FYI I’ve ordered straight from a couple websites rather than Amazon and it still came via Amazon! I was annoyed, and I try to double check how places ship now to avoid accidentally supporting them.

Now to make it easier to rent bikes for kids in Copenhagen! Thank goodness for an excellent bus network, and train network, and metro and walkable distances….wait, what was the problem? Hmmm might have to go back to Copenhagen to figure it out.

This thread is very relatable! Not sure if you want advice, but what helped me was digging into the anxiety and self esteem piece with a counsellor. It helped me shift gears and see myself a bit clearer, instead of being stuck in the anxiety muck.

The sticker price was a shock for me too, over most of Europe, but honestly not that bad when you consider that tax and tip is included. $20 at chili’s works out to about $25 when you add in tax and tip. I wish we included tax and paid workers well so we didn’t have to tip!

I get this. I listened to a song today that Gord Downie did vocals for, and it caught me off guard. His voice is emotionally perfect. So much power in his delivery. I don’t know if I could handle the doc. But maybe a cathartic cry would be a good thing.

Double Jeopardy: ‘This iconic, hidden gem, in Vancouvers Gastown, is not actually powered by steam.’

I agree! It’s like letting future readers know it’s a good place to pause!

My 9 year old has been desperate for a calculator watch for ages, we finally got her one for back to school, and she LOVES it! And yes we got the classic one, not a kids one.

Yeah, it gets a bit silly. Also the grandmothers and their persistent requests if it isn’t shared immediately.
It’s not always the best day, there are a lot of feelings, and while I love a nice picture of my kids, it’s not as important as making sure they are mentally and emotionally ready.

I’d be shocked if there was access before October!

Victoria’s biggest park, Beacon Hill, has a hundred year old covenant that prevents commercial usage in the park. So there is not one place to eat or drink in the whole park. It’s ridiculous.

It is bizarre that flight attendants do not get paid for their work. Absolutely does not make any sense that this is the norm.

This is the kind of cycling advocacy that changes lives! Seriously, love it. They are so cute!!

How much better transit could we get for one overpass? How many kilometers of AAA infrastructure. How many missing sidewalks could we fill in? Such a waste of money to encourage driving.

Hmm. I wonder if they’d fit my yuba.might have to investigate!

What panniers are these? They look like they handle a LOT!
Also, this reminded me why I only get eggs from certain grocery stores because the roads around my favourite place are so bumpy! One too many eggy messes on my bike!

First, Hope you’re healing well, second, the medical systems treatment of anyone who doesn’t drive is archaic and based on fear and ignorance and is not evidenced based!

It has only been recently that both my kids eat their full lunches and they are 9 and 12! And most of the time it’s the same set of foods. Which is fine because they eat other things outside of school, and the waste has gone down quite a bit!

Ok, so while I would never wish anyone to have this experience, also my brain was kind of relieved that the thing we had been prepped for was real!
