Look at all the poles and wires from Snowy hydro going all the way to Melbourne across prime farm land and the wires that went across SW Vic, more prime farm land, for Alcoa and n’er a peep. It’s something other than poles and wires me thinks.

Like your reflection on the day and the times. I was teaching in a country high school and we had several Americans on staff. Their response was now everyone will get out their guns and start shooting. As you say, nah this is Australia we do/did nothing.

True. ATM huge numbers of angry Dems decrying Schumer and Jeffries backdown. Across world the game played behind the scenes by donor manipulation cuts out any democratic representation. Being seen bigly, one might say!
