Chaco Canyon
An ancient stone wall in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico which was built by ancestors of the Pueblo long before pilgrims (around 850 CE). The wall is jagged where it has broken over the centuries. I make great mac and cheese.
A ceramic pot full of mac and cheese with big elbow noodles, a bunch of cheddar cheese with a little jack and shallots. After browning the shallots in butter with a splash of white wine or mirin, I melt the cheese in the same big pan with some buttermilk and cream. When the cheese melts, stir in cooked pasta. Transfer to a deep baking dish and bake at 350 for 40ish minutes.This one has some Parmesan broiled on top at the end.

The great thing about rain in N. CA is the end of fire season. The hills turn green with new grass, the flowers bloom, the baby animals are born, and then it's Christmas.

Fair. I would have said the exact same thing. Then I got talked into a trip to Alaska, which is hard to do except by cruise because of geography and lack of roads.

I could have watched the light, the scenery (it's really different looking from water toward land) and creatures in the water.
