I have no idea where they’re getting their numbers from. Here is what the DEA says (who I assume are inclined to exaggerate the lethal dose for those with no tolerance) -

There’s pretty clearly a vehicle arms race going on where people purchase larger and larger vehicles to protect themselves in the event of a crash. The policy prescription is to increase gas taxes to make people choose smaller vehicles - it’s very sad to see us moving in the opposite direction.
