I dedicated years of my life to reporting on January 6 and exposing what happened. I was there that day, co-wrote a book, and published a series of major stories on my own, for Rolling Stone, and for TPM.

I hope it mattered. I hope history will remember and understand what happened.

I am heartbroken today. In whatever small way I can, I will work to elect strong Democrats that are for the people like AOC.

As things in the USA politics unfold I think of my parents. They sacrificed during WWII to fight Fascism. They would be horrified by who we elected.

I am excited to try out the "butterfly app". I hope to connect with people with similar interests.
