Always loved this since I got the Fall EP when it came out. That whole period of Ride stuff is stunning.

WTF? That's an interesting editorial choice.

Just gave the first 10mins a listen before bed, and I reckon you sound like a pro! Will listen to the rest on the drive to Norwich in the morning. Well done.

If you were Brain and you'd made all this music, maybe you'd have felt the same and canned it. It's just, too, well, advanced for 1967. The people aren't ready. You can easily just knock out a Wild Honey anyway. Why worry. GENIUS.

The one the springs instantly to mind is the frankly gargantuan aural chasm conjured up by the Beach Boys on the 'deep and wide' bit of Time To Get Alone. It's at the 1:42sec mark. They only do it once, mind-blowing. youtu.be/YG0G56-Ac34?...

I can sing along with anyone. Usually, where possible, I add a new harmony that isn't there to keep myself entertained and to train my mind & voice. I often bemoan how fucking lame the actual sound of my voice is. It's a shame, really, but hey-ho, work with what you've got.

Well, that might just be the best sixties party right there.

What's on it?

Some bands really do sound best on tape.
