What a year, huh?

I am still stunned at how little visibility we have into the Chinese direct-to-streaming film industry. News are scarce, finished films drop suddenly with barely any marketing... I wish someone would make a documentary detailing production process, timelines, budgets, etc.

Alright, that was just okay overall. Qin only directed the action scenes, I guess. The final fight features some solid stuntwork. But at least we know he's been doing stuff aside from working on WINGS OF DREAD.

You know, it doesn't look good, but I assume those films are shot very quickly on a shoestring budget, so I respect the fact that they went for it anyway.

This I got to see as part of my remote coverage of Fantastic Fest. You can apply for an accreditation every year if you've got an outlet to publish your reviews. Generally speaking, I get to see some really interesting stuff at festivals. Also keep an eye on foreign actioners releasing on streaming.

I'm not sure about streaming, but no physical release, no. There are Spanish, German, and French Blu-rays. The Spanish one has English subtitles.
