Part of the difficulty is when you have no point of reference. No one you know who’s been through the same.

If this is something you’re going through (or have been through recently) and want to talk about it, my DMs are open.

Thank you so much! I needed this just last week and had checking the nextest issues for it on my todo list.

Just getting to this one today, and with respect to there.com being a silly name. Yeah it is.

Signed a long time employee of here.com. 🤦‍♀️

Also 1Password according to various interviews with engineers working there that I’ve heard.

Subscribing to a service in another region with or without a VPN seems reasonable to me.

I probably shouldn’t have brought legality into this. I’m more interested in morality, but that’s even harder to pin down.

I’m also especially interested in the case where there is literally **no** distribution of certain content in your region. I don’t believe that theft should be the answer, but

Possibly and option. Sounds like a lot of work though!

I don’t know what the law says, but I wouldn’t consider a VPN illegal. I imagine you’re still paying for content (or getting it from a source that is taxpayer funded).

You mean that the EU has **ended** Daylight Savings Time.

Yeah. I’m starting to see this too, but I really don’t want serde in this code base just for USDT... I’ll see how I go.

I’ve clearly spent enough time on parental leave. My first reaction was, “the Prime Minister thought what?!?!”

I’m currently testing on macOS, but the user who is reporting the error is running on Linux. So I’m going to have to work out the UDST -> bpftrace flow.

The irony is that using USDT **sounds** advanced, but I’m literally just using printf in Dtrace right now. 🤣

So I’m basically doing printf debugging. But via the kernel…

Seeing the USDT section in the nextest docs (like, 2 days ago) inspired me to try it to debug a tricky problem I’ve been told about and it’s looking really promising so far!

That would be cool!

Although right now most of my team at work is in our office in Berlin. So I should probably go see them. 😬

Now I miss Berlin!

Same for pasta, but I think someone else already said that.
