Amateur radio's Hurricane Watch net's FB page posted about CK & 9/11 this morning, then removed comments critical of Charlie Kirk. I had an opportunity to attend a hamfest last Saturday but didn't. My disdain for what has become of ham radio's love affair for right wing politics is partly why.

Well, I forgot to repost this yesterday (August 21, National Poets Day). In our own ways, we poets are storytellers--not always explicit, sometimes laying it "between the lines" in metaphor because it's not always easy to broach certain topics.

I've spent the past 9 days recovering from surgery. An unexpected turn of events forced me to confront this situation. I've been staying with Mom and "off the grid" with only a smartphone and 5g mobile data.
