The huge-ass snow drifts in my backyard ❄️✨

I was gonna take today as a rest day, & regardless, I had to chop up the ice so it doesn’t freeze solid.

The wind was whipping, & hauling 5-6 buckets of hot water was tedious, but it sparked the desire to get in. It was too beautiful not to get in, & I’m glad I did.

Solo ice bathing is great, but ice bathing with a good friend or a collective is such an amazing experience. You both experience the intensity of the cold & the rush of adrenaline together, & the natural dopamine boost amplifies the experience so much more. I truly treasure moments like this.

It literally took me 20 minutes to chop through this beast! Might be time to rethink that deicer machine lolol.

This is my coldest ice bath, to date. Anything below 30°F can be dangerous to cold bathers. I was in around 4 minutes. It’s honestly amazing that a 1-2 degree difference can be felt.

Don’t get me wrong, I love recording & making videos, but every now & then, it really feels good to let all that go & truly be present with the people around me & enjoy the moment. I get so much more healing out of moments like these when I release control.

My friend, Kaia, messaged me the other day & told me that she had a dream that her & I took an ice bath together. I told her it was a sign from the universe, & she agreed!

She did absolutely incredible! I can’t wait to see where this journey takes her!

There was a time when I truly thought I wasn’t gonna make it passed 22. A time when I didn’t feel I could live without my drug of choice & truly be happy.

Now, at 31—I am clean, at peace, grateful, & happy beyond my wildest dreams. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Take it from experience: if you’re placing a ladder into a natural body of water like a lake or pond for cold water immersion, please make sure that the ladder is VERY FIRMLY placed & pushed deeply into the water bed. I didn’t do that, & now you see the results.

For the record I am actually okay 😄

As I was getting ready to fully submerge myself & get out, I felt ice lining the inner wall of my tub—like a mold.

I could feel that the lining of ice stopped right before the floor of the tub, so then I decided to see if I could lift it. I didn’t expect to be able to, but I most definitely could!

Water was 31°F again today. This is the 5th or 4th day in a row it’s been at this temperature.

The ice was insanely thick today. It took me a moment to break through & when I did, I removed some of the blocks so they wouldn’t be scraping my knees.
