Yesterday's #poetry
An image of torn paper with the folllowing poem: I was going to tear the plaster off But someone else will be hurt I need to start the healing If I leave it, it will just get worse The wound will never heal whilst it's covered up I just ran out of time, of which there never is enough Not today, for today is special Perhaps tomorrow I'll get it done When is the right time anyhow? I know its has come It really has to happen soon There's going to be a loss There's only one way to do it And that's rip the plaster off

Do you think this sounds like us? Coming apart at the seams, bursting with hopeless empty promises and a garland of crocodile tears Blue Hyacinth and the purple Larkspur With highlights of Yellow Mums Wrapped in plastic if it comes to pass The headstone will say we are done.

The photo was taken using a pixel 7 pro smartphone and manipulated using Snapseed.
