here's one of the most excellent warmups I was taught near twenty years ago to help learn precision and control, and it's just as applicable today - start slow, of course.

Does EDS have any arterial indications? Genuine question I'm not fully up to speed on Wiggly People Disorder(my wife's semiaffectionate sobriquet for her lowgrade EDS)
I mean I know it would make the muscle around it unreliable for supporting a latticed balloon but surely that can be compensated

arterial wall reconstruction during shunting is also a thing now since you're seeing The Big Boys, so it could also be a consideration!!! it's pretty neat they make a cool soft tissue scaffold inside your artery within the shunt and then as the shunt is removed they guide it into place and it bonds

My ex stepmother had shunting while they chemically corrected ascending jugular stenosis(stemming from post-car accident rhabdo) and it did go pretty well, but that's probably not so similar to your situation it's just my only experience with jugular stenosis

"more people hurting would save the world" is a bit grandiose of a statement but "more people knowing what truly hurting feels like would vastly improve medicine as we know it" is accurate

6 hours of a normal migraine, 2 days of persistent back pain, and a week of neurogenic unmanagable body pain that leaps from nerve cluster to nerve cluster at random, if I were given 3 more wishes

I've often said if I were given one medical insight-granting wish it would be for every human on the planet to experience 1 hour of a cluster headache, and to intuit that it was a cluster headache as experienced by chronic cluster headache sufferers, and ingrain that sensitivity into their soul

A low dose aspirin regimen should actually effectively stop it from worsening, if that's any consolation. One of the (many) benefits of those sorts of things is they slow to a crawl or stop any vascular counterindications from worsening if you notice them helping at all it's a good sign

In my case I only managed to get back on my proper regimen because my hemeonc has enough pull to've gotten me in with the right clinic. Before my cancer doc basically said "hey he fucking needs this" I was getting snubbed left and right for even having had opioid use in my history at all

Part of my issue is also that my body thinks "extended"/"delayed" release means "oh, this is inert carbon, i will instead do nothing at all with it"
So I have to use standard release, which means I have to be able to control my dose timing very carefully

I actually already suffer from encephalytic migraines, which is why tapentadol was ruled out for possible use in me, even before it had a brand name. It'd very likely actually make the lining of my brain start bleeding lmao

(and yes, hydrocodone does nothing at all for cluster headaches or migraines - I largely tank those without assistance because most meds to properly manage them are not safe for me specifically. The hydrocodone is for my broken body below my neck)

(I can safely say this because of the things that cause my pain, one of them is Cluster Headaches so bad they killed my left eye - and those are only slightly worse than my day-to-day neurogenic body pain, despite them being several times worse than my 20 days a month migraines)

Dependencies relating to nausea meds are another one that get really poorly handled, since 99.9% of people have never felt true unmitigated nausea to the degree you need to be on those meds for

Part of it's because pain is such a subjective thing most people only understand in their own context.
My daily pain levels even with meds are such that the average person wouldn't be able to pull the trigger and would instead opt to slam their skull into the bullet
