Entertainment journalist. Comics writer. Autism advocate. Unapologetic goofball. Bylines at The Seattle Times, Salon, IGN, TVLine, Paste Magazine, Starburst Magazine, etc.
I work hard to change the language around autism, so seeing this man tamper with federally-backed medical information infuriates me.

I'm autistic, and I worry every day that people think I'm subhuman.

RFK's crusade isn't against autism. It's against ME and others like me. It's against PEOPLE.

My interview with author @travisbaldree.bsky.social is in today's print edition of The Seattle Times!

I had a blast talking with him, and I think you'll have just as much fun hearing what he had to say about his "Legends & Lattes" series.

For The Seattle Times, I spoke with the fabulous @travisbaldree.bsky.social about the latest installment in his "Legends & Lattes" series, "Brigands & Breadknives," out Nov. 11 from @torbooks.bsky.social!

A popular refrain amongst conservatives --- especially after Charlie Kirk's death --- has been to denounce the left as heartless hate mongers who scream for the blood of the right.

Meanwhile, you've got far-right "pundits" saying things like this with little to no opposition.

Repulsive.

Loved "Predator: Badlands," though it didn't do quite as much for me as "Prey" did.

The story is thin but focused, and while I found Dek's unearned evolution from weakest link to peerless fighter jarring, he's relatable enough that I wasn't too bothered by this nonsensical progression.

It's November! That means I'll finally own the @criterion.bsky.social edition of HELL'S ANGELS, which is easily one of my most anticipated physical media releases this year.

The most important things I've done for myself as a writer in digital media are:

• Setting up an authory page so my portfolio auto-updates and backups exist if the websites go under.
• Backing up my contacts list monthly. You WILL NOT be given time to collect them upon layoff, you WILL lose them.

Everybody say hi to Reverb the Tokay gecko, the newest addition to my household! He is an *asshole*, and I love him.

Gecko judgment is an entirely different animal, and I've got a feeling this little guy is gonna give me some truly legendary sass.

Politics these days--- namely just about everything the Trump administration believes in--- is really just a race to see who can fuck the most people over the fastest, and then rewarding those whose actions have the most devastating impact.

Literally the opposite of how it's supposed to work.

Being autistic, I can't always read social cues. Please keep this in mind whenever you want to convey something wordless or subtle to me. It's best to be more direct than you think you have to be.

I'm not being oblivious to screw with you. I'm just extremely clueless in a very specific way.
