The GOALS group is offering a UNIQ+ postgraduate research internship this year. We are project "Engineering 11" which is investigating the application of graph-based machine learning methods to robot maps, working closely with Victor-Alexandru Darvariu (victor.darvariu.me).

The GOALS group is offering a UNIQ+ postgraduate research internship this year. We are project "Engineering 11" which is investigating the application of graph-based machine learning methods to robot maps, working closely with Victor-Alexandru Darvariu (victor.darvariu.me).
The user is a huge part of any robotics use-case. That's why I'm part of a team running a workshop on human-robot interaction in extreme and challenging environments (exactingHRI) at HRI 2025 (3 Mar 2025 in Melbourne, Australia & online).

We are currently recruiting to fill funded PhD positions on the EPSRC RAINZ CDT (www.rainz-cdt.ac.uk). These are positions for students from the UK and Ireland, and involve one year of training at the University of Manchester before moving to study for a PhD at Oxford, Glasgow, or Manchester.
