It’s a quiet rainy day here in war-torn Portland (at least the SW ‘burbs) so I’m working on getting this vintage vest done. Need to do applied icord but couldn’t remember how to start so turned to EZ’s Knit One Knit All. This is going to take forever! 🧶

Went to Tennessee for almost a week with the race team. 2/3 finished the event, & 1 turbo blown :( but that’s ok— the other 2 got podium finishes! And I came home with a sinus infection :(

I started my first leg of the Hood to Coast relay race at 6:38pm on Friday 8/22 in 99 degree heat, did my second leg Saturday morning in Mist, Or at 7:23am at 50deg, and started my third leg on Saturday 8/23 at 5:32pm at 64deg. So happy to be out team’s anchor, last runner. So glad it’s done too!

Not every day is going to be a good day #running. In fact, some days just suck and you end up walking the last 1.16 miles and feeling like your legs are junk.
I guess it gives perspective to the good days. We’ve got a heat watch happening next week. Yuck.

Aw yeah, 4th of July mid-day run complete! Hillier than Wednesday’s, I ran most of the hills today except the last big up close to home.
Felt good about it, fueled and hydrated more correctly before and during. I think I may be able to get this dialed in by Hood to Coast! #running 🏃🏼♀️

First mid-day run in preparation for Hood to Coast relay in August! Not terrible as far as heat goes, and I felt pretty good about it. Needed to clean my new squishy water bottle better, my water tasted like plastic.

Not really 10k race report: organizers did a bad job marking the course & volunteers were clueless. 1 water stop at about 2.8k and nothing after that. They ran out of water at the finish, too. So the 10k was actually only 9. Disappointed, but I finished. Might have made my goal, too. #running

Had a great time at the Southern Ohio Forest Rally, we finished all team cars but not without drama! And we helped out one of the advance cars with a brake pad change to keep things moving along with the event.
My niece got P3 in class and 10th overall! My brother got P2 in class!

Ran a little longer than I planned today due to a wrong turn that added a third of a mile of hill to my already hilly route. That’s ok, hills are good for you and the morning was quite pleasant. #runfridays #running

Beautiful evening shot of Mt Hood, Sunday May 18. Dufur, Or is tucked down between ridges so the other mountains are hidden, but if you fancy a drive up there on some gravel roads , you can find some amazing vantage points.

Here’s my haul of rocks and shells from the Oregon Coast last weekend! Some agates, some agates-in-matrix, some green ones ones, some red ones… I need to do some identification on these!
