I'm nobody, who are you?
Are you- Nobody too?
There's a pair of us - don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

I can't help but think this *somehow* relates to how "nurse" is one of the acceptable professions for women in extreme rightwing misogynist culture. Can't quite articulate how this will work, but can't shake the idea that it's connected.

But the current goal of most AI bros is not to address unmet needs, but to reduce their reliance on other humans and in some cases insert themselves into decision-making processes. They're not interested in "analyze pics of these bridges & identify possible structural failures."

In my industry we've got people using AI to generate exploits; and AI for detection and mitigation. These seem valid. My point with W&P is, _War and Peace_ *exists*. An AI-generated W&P-like novel does not offer any value. I can think of many good uses for the technology...

I would love to see, like, a patio built with those elements. It would be unique, low-risk, and a great chance to iron out some likely issues.
I'm a fan of Trying New Things; the issue I see is thinking this is a Whole New Paradigm and not just an unproven idea.

While I love seeing people break paradigms and try new things, I am *in absolute awe* at the hubris of "I will reimagine the entire construction process based around one idea I have, this is totally a thing that will work and will be better than what it replaces".

Fundamentally the issue is, we're asking a hallucination machine to do information retrieval. I ask a librarian for a copy of _War and Peace_, they have five million monkeys handwrite a book *like* _War and Peace_. That is not what libraries are for. We do not need library monkeys.

I'm not sure if the *hatred* needs to be maintained. Rather, I suspect it's the direction. The rightwing authoritarian mind needs an Other as a target for aggression - but bereft of leadership will select an accessible person or group: rightwing communities fall to infighting and schism.
