30s. They/them. Iranian-American. I won a flash fiction contest once and now I think I'm a bigshot. On a break from writing, but still an unspeakable abomination. Opinions herein are my own; general content warning.
Maybe, but do THEY know that? lean into the mystery! (also it's probably just because NecronomiCon is the most fun i get to have during alternate summers, but your name is one of the ones i remember best. this too can be fame)

I feel like a good answer in those scenarios is "it depends on the circle."

Hate to break it to all of media, but pretending like trauma doesn't happen and refusing to allow people to tell stories about their trauma isn't going to stop trauma from happening. It's just going to make this place more fascist.

If anyone is going to see a Silent Hill movie, hopefully they already know that trauma is the name of the game. Or, if not, they at least know that they're going to see, I don't know, a horror movie? Where horrifying things happen?

People beg for originality and subversion in movies but when a director actually wants to add something subversive, suddenly everyone clutches their pearls because ooh, we can't imply that sexual trauma happens to children, what if people don't want to see those ~undertones.~

Ask your state and federal legislators to codify the freedom to read into law.

Let them know we will not accept blatant viewpoint discrimination in our publicly-funded libraries and schools under the guise of “government speech.”

Libraries belong to the people.

All it took was two people's watches stopping at the same time for me to become invested in this film.

There are a good few people out there whose flesh I would love to unzip.

These books were meant to be our "Unless." Our Lorax screaming on his stump. Now it's just a slightly more quirky reflection of weekly news. It's here.

"You and me up against the wall, baby."
