Bruce Springsteen rushing a record to tweak Donald Trump after his tirade is God-tier trolling.

Now I’m waiting for Trump to outlaw Americana in response.

Finished off the day with our fabulous residency gig down on the Bristol harbourside.

Sunshine pulls in the most riotous crowds and the best dance moves. I’m also convinced that phone audio tells the best

Smashed out a cracking day at London Coffee Festival this morn with the team. Super proud of where we are!

Further to this tangent, one of my favourite video game soundtracks is ‘Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction’.

The composer?

Michael Giacchino of ‘The Incredibles’, ‘Up’ and other Disney houvre
I'm delighted that Ratchet & Clank hits the top of this list - between the soundtrack, the platforming and the goddamn replay value of the game. It captures the best of PS2 era game design.

London Coffee Festival hits this weekend - very grateful to the team at Conti/Compak for the opportunity to make some coffees.

Let this be a warning to you all: nobody steals my charts and gets to be Prime Minister of Canada
insanely funny to have the likely future Prime Minister of Canada just take my chart and intentionally crop out the watermark where I say I made it lmao

Smh how Liz Truss only gets remembered for her “tanking the economy” failures and no one celebrates her success in the “killing the Queen” field
again I point to 'liz truss but without the ability to remove liz truss' as the key to understanding what will likely happen in the next few months to the US economy.

This website is awash with people claiming they want to read this fantasy, yet whenever I run a D&D session as a DM everyone is all like 'What do you mean our mission is to stop people debasing the coinage?' and gets angry when it turns out 'The Windowless Hall' is a tax dodge.
GRR Martin famously attacked Tolkien for not explaining Aragorn’s tax policy. But Martin also doesn’t logically explain anyone’s tax policy. I demand someone write a fantasy which gets to grips with the realities of premodern tax economics
you (tiny, small of brain): this fantasy setting is unrealistic because women have rights

me (large): this fantasy setting is unrealistic because it treats the military as a coherent professional organization with low social status

This approach rings true: you just can’t outplay these states, whether it’s “Singapore-on-Thames” or a parody of other state.

Making London the best place to spend money; on arts, history and the goddamn best food in the world, that’s my kinda London.

A fabulous thread on a fabulous turkey of a film.
Jurassic World 3: as it should be seen, the extended, even sillier director’s cut. (Probably you should mute this thread now.)

Tonight is my fallow NYE. Where instead of shredding and grooving with the band, I participate in the good times.

3 years with Moon Rivers Function Band and finally we have a nice photo.

Had the pleasure of watching ‘A Knight’s Tale’ for the first time.

Had the horror of realising most of my speaking persona is derived from DERIVATIONS of Paul Bettany’s Chaucer.

One of my little luxuries is spending time perusing the local library.
I’m so thankful for the people who collected the stories of local history and I have always loved the Bristol docks.

Successful night for the band.

The crowd were hard won and again you can always rely on ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’ to summon the Dad dancing.

And if all fails…’Mr Brightside’ opens portals to Malaga and a lads holiday spills out into the dance floor.

The hard part of this will always squeeze on lower rent households.

In my experience as someone who pays pretty much bang on the average rent in Bristol (£1500-1700 pcm) I’m lucky to pay a premium for a letting agency to ensure a maximum increase of 4% per year. —
‘Renting is nothing short of brutal. Rents are rising at an astronomical and unsustainable rate.’ Rents in London increased by 11.6% in the 12 months to November 2024 www.ft.com/content/fa6f...

The band play their last function of the year tonight at a former church in Bristol.
