62 years ago today, JFK was assassinated in Dallas.
I was 16 & at a Young Conservative meeting, when we heard the news & were glued to the TV in shock.

I never imagined that decades later, as an MP, I’d stand in the Book Depository & look out from the window where the shots were allegedly fired.

The facts speak for themselves:

• 84 men a week take their own lives
• 75% of all suicides are male
• 25% of men live with mental illness
• One man dies of prostate cancer every hour

Keir Starmer must appoint a Minister for Men.

My article for the Daily Express: From suicide to prostate cancer & false allegations, men face a crisis that cannot be ignored.

The government’s new Men’s Health Strategy is a vital first step, but without a Minister for Men, it won’t go far enough!

My letter in @telegraphnews.bsky.social today.

The BBC doesn’t need defenders who excuse shameless propaganda. A broadcaster funded by licence payers must report the news, not reshape it.

Accountability strengthens institutions. Blind loyalty corrodes them.

Innocent people will die if we bring back death penalty
The case of the Southport killer, Axel Rudakubana, has reignited the debate on capital punishment. His guilt may appear unequivocal yet I know from painful personal experience that our justice system

Rupert Lowe is the latest calling for the return of capital punishment - however, it has no place in Britain. False allegations nearly destroyed my life & they ruin lives today. A fallible system cannot be trusted with irreversible punishment. Popular or not,it would put innocent people at risk.

They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We shall remember them.

Lest we forget.

My Daily Express article on the fury engulfing the BBC following doctoring of Donald Trump’s speech.

Those ritualistically defending the BBC are profoundly misguided.

A broadcaster funded by licence payers must report the news, not reshape it.

'I walked out of live BBC interview – right-wing plot isn't Auntie's problem'
The idea that the same broadcaster that hands its critics so much ammunition is being unfairly criticised is risible.

This isn’t about “baying for blood.” It’s about the BBC, a public broadcaster, being accountable to the public.

It requires reform, not ritual defensiveness.

The plea shouldn’t be stop “weaponising” the BBC, but to stop handing its critics ammunition!

It’s Men's Mental Health Month.

Again, I urge Keir Starmer to appoint a Minister for Men.

• 84 men a week commit suicide
• 75% of all suicides are male
• 25% of men live with mental illness

Action to address male-specific issues is long overdue.

K Harvey Proctor: There is a compelling argument, and an urgent need, for a Minister for Men | Conservative Home
I share this personal history not for sympathy, but to underscore a larger point. Men are often silenced - not just by societal expectations, but by the weight of injustices that go unaddressed.

My thoughts with the LNER staff member who is in a life-threatening condition after bravely trying to stop the attacker on the train at Huntingdon yesterday - a reminder of the everyday heroes among us.

There must be increased security on trains & the rail network to keep passengers & staff safe.

Dreadful scenes out of Huntingdon this evening following a stabbing on an LNER train.

My thoughts are with the victims & their loved ones.

My thoughts also with the emergency services responding to this tragic event - the toll on them must not be understated.

My article for Daily Express: Andrew’s downfall should trouble anyone who believes in fairness.

Justice cannot be achieved through the gleeful dismantling of a man’s life absent proof of guilt.

He should be presumed innocent & entitled to due process.

Kai Lloyd, 14, took his own life after being falsely accused & arrested for theft - despite there being no evidence or corroboration.

His accuser should be prosecuted.

A most tragic & depressing case. False allegations can kill.

My heartfelt condolences to Kai’s loved ones.

Prince Andrew has been metaphorically hanged, drawn and quartered. His guilt has been assumed from the outset. Yes, he is a pompous fool, but he deserves due process.

The “discovery” by Panorama of misogyny & racism in the Met is not hidden.

Sir Mark Rowley’s position is untenable.

Michelle Mone’s position in the House of Lords is untenable.

After today’s High Court ruling that PPE Medpro must repay £122m for supplying gowns that were unusable & unsafe, she should resign or be expelled. She should also be stripped of her OBE. Public trust demands nothing less.

The Governments border deal with France will only succeed when 3 migrants enter & 1000 leave daily - for 5 years.

Ministers must also prepare for a Marine Le Pen government, which could scrap ‘one in, one out’ & even push migrants across the Channel.

Britain must be ready.

My Letter to the Editor of @thetimes.com.

In East Wiltshire, Reform UK came 4th last election while 16,849 (35.7%) backed a Conservative Member of Parliament.

Danny Kruger should resign, re-stand for Reform, and let democracy take its course. The people of East Wiltshire must decide.
