That would actually be the least painful solution.
At one point I even wanted to create and texture everything in some simple software (like Blockbench) and then import the complete scene in Unity (since the rest of the game is 2D), but textures on flat planes started causing troubles.😅

Could you share any advice on how to achieve such result in Unity?
I want to make a small store, where all kind of things would hang around, but just placing images in 3d space doesn't match edges best due to perspective.
