Just stumbled on an article in the Telegraph with 6 tactics to
Avoid the mansion tax. The idea of removing period features and making it less energy efficient - increasing energy bills - to avoid £2,500 a year had me in stitches there are other lows too 😂

Maybe you should write to every council in The UK and advise them that these campaigns aren’t neccessary. Good drivers slow down and redo all their hazard checks, mirrors, spacing, escape routes, give more room and slow down even more and stop if the risk is high when they see pedestrians.

Of course the London property market is different to elsewhere but 2 mill is quite a high bar and it is difficult to see how anyone in a +£2mill house couldn’t afford a charge that would be less than existing utilities and council tax. If they can’t maybe downsizing is a sensible choice

This was on my mind yesterday as a counter to your last point. I didn’t want to mention it in case it wasn’t thought of. I think this will be a part of WM Police thought. Maccabi as a Trojan for wider violence against a minority community

Apparently you need to take the seed out of the shell and put it in the fridge in a sealed bag with moist compost over winter. In spring it should start to sprout. Will give it a go

Yes markets look to have been on an escalator the last 6 months and there is substance behind the headline - but it just seems another example of the press leading the narrative rather than reporting the event.
