This year, I'm on Reindeer Nursery duty--a miscommunication, I'm usually on Deliveries and someone, SOMEONE, not naming names, thought they'd make something Funny happen. I'm not trained for it! But if I can help make holiday miracles happen, then by the Star, I'll learn. After all, we need sleighs.

The hard truth of it is that I have a bit of Krampus in my family. Not the, just a. Great great grandfather. Heart grew three sizes type story, rescued great great gran from a blizzard. I think it's romantic, but it causes some of my usual Elf to go... wonky.

But these are rough times. People 'r causing each other to be scared of each other, and Believing isn't popular these days. Still, there's way more people than there used ta be, so it works out. Now, take me. I can't make a toy for ginger snaps--my fellow elves make fun of me for it.

Now, the Spirit is in everyday life, not just around this time of year. Every time you do a favor for a friend or a loved one, every time you bat an eye and look the other way and help without expecting a thing in return--that's MAGIC, that is. Em ey gee Eye Cee. Gifts, too.

And people knowing him comes in handy! Even if marketing companies slap their idea of him all over, the Big Man is beyond most mortal's ken. Pure spirits--loving children, et al--they can see him, in bits and pieces. And so they Believe. After all, he's more than *just* the Big Man.
