English lefty, exiled {post Brexit) immigrant in Paris.
Southend United supporter (look it up).
I live on the ninth floor of an appartement block in Paris. My French neighbours decorated the whole passage. Tomorrow the kids will be delighted.

Given the disgusting behaviour of USA supporters at the Ryder cup, does anyone support international sporting events in Trump land?

Trump says World Cup matches might have to be relocated for unsafe cities in the USA. Given there are more guns than humans there, perhaps the safety of all teams and fans would be to cancel the USA matches and move to Canada and Mexico.

Is Nigel Farage a racist? Here in France he backs them. At the the last Presidential election he considered Le Pen too left wing and supported Eric Zemmour who was convicted of racism, not once but twice in 2011 and 2018. He appealed those convictions to the ECHR (the irony eh Farage?) and lost.

Trump wants the Europeans and nato members to stop buying Russian oil before sanctioning the mass murderer. He might start with a discussion with his mates in Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey.
Perhaps we should treat Russian oil akin to blood diamonds.

"In December last year, Resolute 1850 Ltd was incorporated in the UK.

With a thinktank soon to be launched and funds from MAGA, American Big Tech and the US religious right already pledged, it seeks to use Reform as a vessel to bring Project 2025-style policies to the UK."

Sweet Caroline, the English lionesses are through to the women’s euro championship final on Sunday. Italy your manager was a petulant disgrace. It’s millenium since everyone discovered pasta was invented by the Arabs.

Allez Paris. Then the French team can tell Trump to stick his 30% tarifs on the EU where the Sun doesn’t shine.

As an organisation the idf has killed children in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, The West Bank and Libya. Surely we can call them war criminals without defaming the whole Jewish nation.

The Israelis are showing a film of Hamas atrocities to Greta Thurnberg and her sailing resisters. Netanyahu must have been watching “Clockwork Orange” about how fascist regimes “re-educate” people. All power to Greta and her comrades.

Thoughts are with Liverpool fans tonight. I’m at Wembley on Sunday and will honour those hurt in whatever the stadiums organisers decide. You’ll never walk alone.

In the year after Nelson Mandela’s election I worked with the ANC in South Africa to provide a fairness in local elections for the Boer farmers. We achieved a consensus thanks to the current President of South Africa. What Trump and Musk did today was a disgrace.
