Poetic but perhaps unfair to parasites. If you think about it, most parasites don't threaten their host, because they need to coexist. They need the host to thrive in order to thrive themselves. Of course, not true for capitalists. They can work one bunch of workers to death, then hire others.

I wouldn't dismiss "his natural charm". I've put birdseed out (although not for redwings - we don't have 'em here) but with no such familiarity on their part. 😁
