One time I was coming home drunk from a night out at 2am. The elevator door opens to my floor and I get my keys out in preparation, since my apartment door is right outside the elevator. I fumble my keys, they fly out of my hand, and swish down the crack.

Slept on a friend's couch that night lol

Yup. Had to quit it a month or so ago. I was playing it almost nonstop and nothing else. I wasn't even having fun anymore

I found a really dope, and kinda spooky, website with all the fire cameras if you want to panic cycle through them all looking for smoke

I feel like having a dog puts you together. I did the whole "I'm depressed at shit. Guess I'll get a dog" thing and found it actually helped a lot. Forced me into a routine, plus he is unspeakably cute

My wife and I laughed so hard at that

This makes me want to do a "Santa's fortress" dwarf fortress run

This clip is actually from v2 of the mechanic. Playtests of the first version found it somewhat dull, so I made some major adjustments. I'll talk about those in more detail over the course of this month.

I find this sort of idea really fascinating. I was born anosmic (no smell) and it sometimes feels like living in a world where I'm living in 3D and everyone around me is in 4D, talking about 4D things. It's sounds kinda sad when I phrase it like that, but I have found the experience pretty neat!

That first round helped me so much in figuring out what was missing & where the fun was for most people. I was so caught up in interesting systems that I started losing focus. I think this frequent playtest style of development is going to be a big help for keeping things fun and engaging
