I took a small break from Games Workshop minis to paint something else - Baratheon Stag Knights from A Song of Ice and Fire by CMON. It was fun to paint entire squad so quickly, in comparison with GWs miniatures.

Finally finished up my Kâhl! I had less time for hobbying lately, but hey, first mini of 2025 done. Happy how he turned out!

I tried that in the beginning, but it looked like the cape itself was glowing. From what I've looked, glow from lava should me more reddish, or maybe orange at it's brightest.

I tried to smooth out the transistion between red and white, but I don't think it looks realistic.

#nerdlings, I need some feedback.

I've tried to do red OSL on a white cloak and back of legs of my Kâhl, and I feel I failed. However, I have no idea how to improve it.

Maybe someone could give me some feedback or ideas?

Working on a base, first time I tried playing with liquid pigments. Yellow might have come out a bit too intense, but I'll add some OSL and we'll see how the final result turns out.

Here are my final results of #paintslam24 by @jewelknightjess.com. It has been a busy year for me and I'm happy that I painted more models than last year.

Could I've painted more? Sure. Could I create better bases? Yeah, definitely. I still am happy and looking forward to #paintslam25!

2024 was quite productive for me when it comes to painting. I'm a fairly slow painter and I managed to finish 19 models (so far!) this year. I had a lot of fun and I feel that I improved my skills. Let's hope 2025 will be even better!
