Ironically if they’d commit themselves to behaving like ordinary law enforcement and not paramilitaries, they’d both be able to pick up more people and the community would have fewer tools to resist them. I would still despise their mission but it wouldn’t be creating a war zone in my neighborhood.

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
